Message of the Day

I always learn something new when I have my quiet time using the help of Our Daily Bread or other services. Though I am still struggling (and really still very far away) to put the commands into real actions, I'd like to share the sentences (verse/passage) that have hit my heart which I hope can inspire you as well (hope I can update this post everyday) =):

7/4: "Our heart and acts of service should be truly symbolic of God's unconditional love. Love from pure motives. The measure is the way we react when our "helpfulness" is unrecognized or goes unrewarded."

8/4: Luke 22:46 said << "Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.">>

Can You Hear My Heart?

Need a recommendation for a good drama? I highly suggest that you watch this K-drama "Can You Hear My Heart?" Seeing its synopsis about the life of a deaf guy pretending as if he were normal, I didn't even consider to watch it as I did not want to go through the pain (painful eyes I mean, lol) of crying a river throughout the story. However, I watched it in the end for I mistakenly remembered the title of the drama "You've Fallen for Me" a.k.a "Heartstrings" I had initially planned to watch. And wow, instead of sobbing and tearing up, I found myself immersed in hilarity due to a considerable number of funny scenes.

I know there are times when I exaggerate things, but I'm sure I'm not this time. The drama seriously has a good plot. Well-written, well-planned, and well-directed. Most drama that I've watched stressed much on romance (they were good, yet forgettable), but this drama does has its special side that is gonna leave you with a deep impression. It is not all about the relationship between namja chingu and yoja chingu, but can serve as a tool to teach you some really important aspects about life. Yup, it contains a lot of morale messages. Some of them are:

1. Accept your family's weaknesses and life would not turn as horrible as it would be if you do it the other way around. (WooRi and YoungGyu accept MiSook, WooRi and JoonHa accept DongJoo, HyunSuk half-accepts DongJoo, ShinAe can't accept her Mom, YoungGyu parents can't accept him, etc).
2. Don't be greedy and don't let money control you. When you do, you are pathetically declared deaf (can't hear what others say) and blind (can't see the reality). Step down from your position when you have to. Use fair and proper means to get what you want.
3. Forgive peoples mistakes. Erase the word "blood for blood" off your mind. It will only lead you to the vicious circle of revenge. You'll hurt many people including yourself.
4. You call it a family when you stay together through good and through bad - not because of some blood relationship. You can't ever do it alone. You can stand firm because of the people around you encouraging you all along.
5. Don't give up. Pull yourself together. You have an accident and life turns upside down in a second. It's easier said than done, but accept yourself and move on and see how beautiful your life can be. Learn how to cope with your disability.
6. Always be grateful for your health. Use it well. There are people having really really really hard time because they can't see, they can't hear, they can't speak, they have no either or both legs, they have no either or both hands: they lack what you have. To understand DongJoo's circumstance, I tried to close my ears today and read my lecturer's lips. It was certainly difficult, not only from the technical aspect, but also because I had to combat the fear of not being able to understand what he was saying through lips.

Be careful, this drama is addicting. There are 30 episodes all together, so you'll need to sacrifice some of your time. Just a tip: do it during holiday or make sure you have finished all your assignments a week ahead of the deadline so that you can watch it with your mind at peace. Enjoy the story!

City Hunter

Errr.. Okay, I'm unfocused now. Not 'til I get to watch the whole episodes of City Hunter. Oh, that fantastic drama is just killing me inside out. The producer and the scriptwriter should be held responsible for making me delay all my urgent workloads for this past few days (oh dudes, I'm risking my job fate in your hands.) Ha, I know I have every reason to blame you for producing such an epic show. You guys have been turning my world upside down. I'm totally excited and afraid at the same time. Excited knowing that I still have 10 episodes left to gulp down. Afraid that I would turn into a more complex procrastinator. Arrghhh...

Wait, have I mentioned that I had such a terrific dream last night? Guess what, I appeared as MinHo's sole and ultimate crush, not as Kim Nana, but as the leading woman cast of the drama. I'm not sure how the story went on as it was kind of different from the real drama. But I remember waking up by the voice of my Dad, just a minute before I was going to drink some sort of toxic liquid so as not to let MinHo worry that Steve Lee might kill me (wew, I surely made a silly solution at that time: how could I plan to commit suicide on my own to ease his worriness? That just would make him cry a river! And me too.... Sob..). Lol. My heart will definitely beat a million times faster if I were really to act in the same drama as MinHo's. Swoon! *>*

Aish, I'm dying to watch the next episode.

That Little Boy

The flaring eyes
The soothing smile
The glowing hands
The heartwarming dimples
Uhh.. what's with this feeling?
So familiar yet so unknown
Seems close yet feels far

Ohh, it's him! I'm sure it's him!
No, it can't be
But it is really him
Telling you, it's not!
But I know it is him...

He's grown so much
Ain't longer a little boy now
He used to be Mr. Naughty
Loved it being Mr. Popular
Didn't care being Mr. Arrogant
But he's grown so much now
This figure before my eyes
Emerges nothing but attractions!
Courage, humbleness, chivalry, gentleness...
What can I say?
He is just so L.O.V.E.L.Y.

He just did it again
Attacking my heart like a wild fire
Pumping my blood vein like crazy
Somebody grip me please
I'm trembling
I'm sweating
I'm blushing
I'm melting
I'm going numb

He just did it again
Flying me away back to that day
That day when I first saw him
That day when he put his fingers on the piano
I knew it
Oh, I knew it
He was born to soar beyond the stars
Born to shine like a heavenly diamond
Born to rule the magical world of music

He's gotten his rhythm
He's entered his thing
Ready to draw out his own sword
Ready to alter the whole kingdom
Just like what Arthur had done

That little boy
Ain't longer a little boy now
It's him
It's really him
The one I've been missing all my life

Just Passing By Again

Lol... The post's title kinda makes me want to laugh. You see, I named the previous post "Just Passing By" and this post' title does not make the slightest difference to itself, except that there is this row of letters "a-g-a-i-n" tailing it. So I guess my next post would be titled "Just Passing By Again and Again". What a lame name! Maybe I should get someone to teach me how to make a fantastic and sound title - I heard people say that the title of a post is very crucial as it has the power to interest visitors to read it - Orrr... the second option is to pinch my creative nerve, but I have no idea where it is. Yes, I don't know. Won't ever know. Even if I use my GPS. Anyway, things are always nowhere to be found when we need them and are everywhere when we don't need them, right?

Can I say something? (Oh yes, I've said a lot... :P) It is noon time which means it is break time! Yeaayyy... I am happy because today is Friday. I love Friday so muchhhh....! Cause I get a longer break time on Friday, which means a longer time to have a date with the internet (and blogs and facebook and comics and stuff) and not to mention that Friday is the day before weekend (no evening's nightmare syndromes: no job burden, no stress)!! Yipeee... tonight I'll have a chance to play cooking mama on wii... Wait for me, honeeyyy...!

Giving Gifts?

Feels like writing something, but can't think of a good topic? I suggest that you browse this website: http://iteslj.org/questions/. You'll find yourself overwhelmed with plenty of questions there. I'm pretty sure that one of them would help your mind work, and your little fingers dance on the keyboard. Give it a shot!

Let me try one. Let's see.. Errr.. SNAP! Okay, I'll start off with this one: what kinds of gifts do you like to give?

Earnest, caring, generous, and creative. Talking about gifts, I suddenly remember about an incredible cousin of mine. She posseses all the traits I mentioned above.Whenever she is around, the day seems to be brightened up, and I won't stop at that statement 'cause she goes far beyond that. You see, even when she is not around, somebody is being impacted by her love. Take this example: on our aunt's birthday, she texted the whole family, reminding us to drop a phone call and congratulate her for having entered another new phase of life. Wasn't that wonderful? I mean, not many people do that. Ya, I could write a trilogy if I have to mention her other kindness. I really wish that Oprah would ask her to be a contestant of her BIG Give show (I know she would make every penny count!).

What about me? Well, it sounds pathetic, but I guess I am the other way around. I seldom give nowadays. Back a few years ago, I hardly came to school without candies/snacks to share with my friends. I remembered visiting the minimarket frequently after school just to stock my bag with some affordable crunchy snacks like pisang sale (some kind of dried and smoked banana slices). The next day you would find me filled with joy for I could eat them together with my classmates. I enjoyed the snacks, but I loved the togetherness even more!

Birthday gifts, as far as I can recall, was only given to my classmates. My friends and I usually did a little "joint venture" here. Lol. You know, just like everyone else, all of us would think of a stuff that would make an ideal gift for the birthday girl/boy, do a quick tour around a shopping centre, pick that special present along with a nice wrapping paper, and fulfill the money requirement. And of course, there'd be a surprise gift provided the birthday person was our closest friends.

Anyway, I found out that we don't always need money to give. There are many forms of gifts, including care, being a good listener, teaching somebody something for free, and many more. But just like my cousin, we all have to do that unconditionally (and we have to walk the talk - hope I'm not just being a blabbermouth, 'cause oops... I haven't done anything yet, hehehe..). Ready to give gifts?
